LostRoutz is a pop-up project during MetalDays festival in Soca valley. Our first trip starts on Sunday 21 July and the last one on Sunday 28th July. But if requested, we can arrange a trip also outside suggested dates.
Duration of trips: all trips take around 3,5h to 4,5h together with driving
Departure time: at 10.00 or as agreed
You can therefore expect to be back to the festival area before 16.00.
Departures are in the supermarkets area almost directly next to the roundabout. Arrival back to the same spot.
LostRoutz has group tours. Each group is minimum 3 and maximum 11 people. If you come alone or with only one friend, you can join existing groups. So far all of our groups had a good time together.
If we have a van available, it's not a problem. In that case, however, the price depends on the number of people.
You can book 3 ways, in each case at least 1 day before the trip:
- at our stand at the festival area with cash or online payment
- via the LostRoutz website, but you have to receive our confirmation to finalize the booking
- call to reserve your spot and pay at the booking point 1 day before the trip (if you don't come to pay 1 day before till 16.00 and the trip is almost fully booked, we take the right to give your spot to somebody else)
First come, first serve... We have a limited number of seats. If still available, you can choose any of the trips for the day you would like to go exploring.
If the vans are already booked for the day you wish, you can join the existing groups if there are still seats available.
We recommend to choose one of the first days of MetalDays festival. Why? Mostly because of the weather. Because what if there will be bad weather on your preferred day? You might want to reschedule it. But if your preferred date is at the end of the week, there is no option to reschedule.
Besides, we had guests who loved the trip so much that they went to another one a few days after.
LostRoutz has 2 trips that are only doable in nice weather (Mountain cowboys and Rocks that rock), 1 trip that is doable in any weather (People of iron).
Keep in mind that weather is difficult to predict and the weather forecast can't be really trusted. In the summer Tolmin has very often hot days and a shower or a storm in the afternoon. But our trips finish before the usual time of the shower.
In case there is bad weather and you wanted to go to the nice-weather trip, you can choose one of the following options:
- Go to one of the trips that are suitable for bad weather
- Reschedule the trip for another day
- Get back 70% of your money
Who decides what is bad weather? Bad weather is when the ground is so slippery that it becomes dangerous. The LostRoutz team is a local expert so you can trust us on this decision.
The trip that you already booked can be cancelled 2 days before the trip or more. Then you get your money back. Or you can decide to go another day or to another trip.
If you are cancelling between 48 and 20 h before departure, then you can cancel and get 50 % of trip price per person back.
If you are cancelling only 20 h before departure or less, we unfortunately can't give anything back.
We don't take you to dangerous places and the guide will warn you if there is a less pleasant rock around the corner or a slippery slope. But still, things can happen, especially in the nature. Before the trip we will ask you to sign a document stating that it's primarily your own responsibility to be careful. This is just a standard procedure for outdoor activities. If something serious happens, we are a proper tour operator, registered in the Netherlands with all needed insurances.
Suggested equipment: sport shoes (not flipflops), light clothes, sunscreen, hat.
